The local SEO checklist we run for every new client

Most local businesses are one afternoon of work away from ranking better. The problem is almost never the website — it is the profile, the categories and the reviews attached to it.
Start with your Google Business Profile. Choose the most specific primary category available, fill every service field, and add real photographs taken in the last ninety days. Google rewards profiles that look actively maintained.
Next, make your name, address and phone number identical everywhere they appear online. Inconsistent details across directories quietly suppress rankings, and cleaning them up costs nothing but time.
Then build one genuine page per service and per area you serve. Not thin duplicates — real pages with pricing guidance, photographs of your work and the questions customers actually ask.
Finally, ask for reviews systematically rather than hoping. A simple text message after a completed job, sent the same day, outperforms every clever tactic we have tested.
